We are always looking to find ways to get our people involved in serving the body of First Woodway. Here are some ways that you can do that:

Welcome Team
Are you friendly? Do you like to smile? Do you like helping people? Then we would love for you to ask more about our Welcome Team Ministry. We have multiple areas that we are building up in order to make sure that we host both our guests and our members well each Sunday! Here are the teams that we have:

Golf Carts
we have a big parking lot and lots of traffic in it, so we would love to offer safe and convenient rides to our church familyWRed Wagon Team: parents of young kids often have their hands full with diaper bags as they try to wrangle their little ones through the parking lot into the church, and we want to help. This team will go out into the designated lot for “families with small children” and offer rides for the kids into the building or just offer to take in bags so that the parents have an easier walk into the church!

Kid’s Min Greeters
Once families get into the building, we want to make sure that they feel welcomed and taken care of…that’s what Kid’s Min Greeters are all about! We help our guests get checked in on our system and then help them find classrooms for their little ones.

Greeter Team
These are our people standing in strategic locations to make sure that everyone who walks into our building is greeted with a smile, a handshake, and a statement that says no matter who you are, how your morning has gone, or what you did on Saturday night, we are so glad you are here!

Welcome Desk
This team’s main purpose is to be Information Central! If you have a question about which class would be a good fit for you, where do the kids go for their classes, what time are the services, or any number of other questions…this is the team you go to!

Guides
This group is the one who walks our guests to the locations that the Welcome Desk points them to…in other words, this group helps to make sure we don’t have anyone wandering the halls looking for where they are supposed to be!

Kids’ Ministry
Our Children’s Ministry has been an integral part of our church and as the church grows and as we reach young families, that means that we are always looking for more volunteers to serve as teachers, helpers, greeters, or just an extra pair of hands. You can view the Kingdom Kids Get Involved Guide which describes in detail each ministry or event and how you can serve.

Missions
We will be looking at putting together some mission opportunities for Young Adults to be a part of in the days ahead…some of those will be local, some will be family oriented, and some will be international. Be watching for more information as we try to live out Acts 1:8 by engaging our city, state, country, and world!
