Seniors Care Ministry
Contact: Charlie Dodd
The Care Ministry is here to assist in caring for our church family. We help with navigating health care services, in home contact and visits, retirement facility worship services, relief for care givers, in home food delivery on Wednesday evenings, rides to the doctor or for errands, and minor home needs.
Also service opportunities exist for volunteers to visit homebound, local nursing homes, those in local hospitals, and to assist with Bible studies and worship experiences both on and off campus of our local retirement centers and nursing homes. No matter your age, if you desire to serve our homebound and or our senior adult residents, we have a place for you.
Please contact Charlie Dodd at email@example.com or call him at 254.772.9696 for learn about more ways to get involved or if you know of someone in need of this ministry.

God’s Toolbox’s primary focus is to care for, share with, and serve others through home repair projects. They assist the elderly, people of low income, and the disabled, enabling them to live in warmth, safety and independence.
Mowing for the Maker
Contact: Doris King
Mowing for the Maker provides basic lawn care services for those in our community who are physically unable to maintain their yards and cannot afford to hire help to keep their yards from becoming overgrown. People of all ages and abilities can serve with this ministry, from lawn care teams to ministry liaisons who sit and visit with the families while the mowing crew works. Contact Doris King at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are in need of this ministry. Learn more about ways you can serve here.
Our Second Family
Contact: Charlie Dodd
This ministry is for families with special needs loved ones as well as older adults who need help with day to day activities. Your talents and time will be just what someone in this ministry needs. You have the blessing of serving with a care team, using your unique gifts, getting training, and sharing and growing your faith.
Wednesday Night Saints
Contact: Ken & Wanda Glaze (or call 254.666.8276)
Each Wednesday night during the school year, 30-40 people receive a warm meal along with a hug and a prayer. These homebound families love the conversation time the most, just knowing someone cares about them. Call and see how you can spend one hour each week to help deliver a meal to someone who is hurting and alone. Learn more about ways you can serve here.
Caregivers are special people, and First Woodway recognizes that caregivers also have special needs. While your needs are varied and we cannot meet all of these needs, we hope this website will be helpful to you. It is designed to make you aware of, and make available to you, resources that may be beneficial. Learn more about the Caregivers Ministry by clicking here.
