Anxiety disorders affect nearly 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. and about 12 million women experience clinical depression each year. Yet, we don’t talk about these struggles. We pretend we’re fine, meanwhile we are drowning in mental anguish. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Come hear from a wife, mother, and FW woman who has experienced both anxiety and depression, as well as a licensed counselor who will offer some strategies for coping with anxiety and depression.

Misty Casares is a married mother of three girls. She owns Cakeamor Bakery. She was baptized is 2017 and loves learning about Jesus. She is an active member of First Woodway, a FLOURISH mentor, and serves as a co-teacher in her Life Group.

Annabeth Morgan is a licensed marriage and family therapist who has always been passionate about healthy relationships, especially in marriages and families. She obtained her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy through Abilene Christian University and currently sees couples, families, and individuals at Journey Counseling.
