Have you wanted to reach out and introduce yourself, but can’t seem to find the opportune moment – and it feels a little awkward to just knock on their door? Wouldn’t it be much less awkward if you had a “welcome to the neighborhood” gift to give them?

Welcome Your New Neighbor with a Blue Box!
The Blue Box Ministry is a simple and thoughtful way to connect with a new neighbor or colleague who has recently moved to Waco. We’d love to provide you with a Blue Box so you can extend a warm welcome, start a friendship, and invite them to church!

Each Blue Box includes:

  • A blank notecard for you to write a personal message
  • Information about our church
  • A pack of Scripture cards
  • A candle, coffee, and BBQ dry rub

To receive a Blue Box, we just ask for some basic contact information (family name, street address or email, etc.) for the new neighbor or colleague.

The Blue Box is meant to spark a friendship—so take the next step! Invite your new neighbor or colleague over for coffee, dinner, or a casual chat. A simple gesture can go a long way in building a meaningful connection.

Then, within a week or two, we’ll follow up to learn more about their family so we can send a personalized welcome note, and share ministry information tailored to them. We will want to learn the name of the family and information about which life stage they are in (Do they have a church home? single or married? Have young children? Or youth age kids? Retired or empty nesters? Widowed?).
